Areca Leaf Plate Making Project Training program was organized by Dr. Loganandan who is the senior Scientist and head for KVK-Hirehalli Tumakuru. The program was Inaugurated by Tumakuru Lead Bank Senior Manager Mr. Jayaramaiyah, at the KVK-Hirehalli campus, who announced that the Areca plates making projects fail only due to the poor quality machinery in the market, he also said that further people who wish to start this project can approach KVK to get good quality machines from the social entrepreneurship firm “Deepam Ecogreen”.
After the lead bank's instruction to approach KVK for the Areca plates project, on the same day (6Apr2016) Areca plates project details were explained by KVK-Head and senior scientist Mr. Loganandhan in the middle and Deepam Ecogreen (Social entrepreneur & Project director)in both the ends, to the rural women and men farmers who were interested to start this project.
